When registering, please be sure to include a description of your child’s specific needs and any learning or behavioral techniques that work best for them. We can accommodate a limited number of parent-provided 1-on-1 aides for students who require one.
WESTPORT PARKS & RECREATION
Skateboarding (offered in fall)
It’s time to learn something new! Westport Parks and Recreation is teaming up with American Originals Skateboarding to offer a new and dynamic skateboarding program designed for children with special needs and challenges. This is a great opportunity for each participant to learn new skills and accomplish something they may have never thought they could! Through this program children will not only learn skateboarding skills, but will gain confidence, teamwork, and build friendships. Peer mentors and volunteers will be used to keep it moving and fun!
Notes: Children must have protective gear – elbow pads, kneepads, and helmet.
Inclement weather will cause the program to cancel for the day.
Inclusive Ice Skating: (Ages 5 - 13) (offered in winter)
Come to the Westport PAL Rink at Longshore, learn to skate and have a great time outdoors! Instruction is designed for children who are challenged in both an individual and group setting.
