Gifts of Artwork

Artworks in the WestPAC collections are acquired primarily through gifts, mostly given by the artists themselves or donated by heirs and collectors. Artworks are displayed throughout Westport’s municipal buildings and public schools.

If you wish to donate an original work of art to the WestPAC collections, please send an image and description of the object by email westpac@westportps.org

We will send you a Donation Inquiry Form to complete. Together with Westport Arts Advisory Committee (WAAC), WestPAC Committee will review each donation request in accordance with our Collection Management Guidelines. If the work is of interest, we will make an appointment to view the artwork in person to assess condition and suitability to our collections, before making a formal recommendation to the respective governing body.

Volunteer with WestPAC Committee

Town-appointed WestPAC Committee members steward the public art collections of nearly 2,000 works of art displayed throughout our municipal buildings and public schools. WestPAC Committee members are responsible for carrying out WestPAC’s mission of using original works of art to inspire and educate Westport residents, students, teachers and the broader community.

  • This stewardship committee, designated, effective July 1, 2016, by the First Selectman, Superintendent of Schools, and BOE, to serve as a subcommittee of the Westport Arts Advisory Committee.
  • Its members include the Town Curator and all school parent and resident representatives needed to fulfill the obligations and responsibilities of the Committee and Collection's use and care per the BOE P6161.13 and Collections Management Guidelines (to come).

If you are interested in volunteering and learning more about the WestPAC Committee, please complete and submit this Volunteer Interest Form.
