Westport Public Schools is proud to announce that Faith Sweeney has been selected to receive the Connecticut Education Association’s Mahatma Gandhi-Martin Luther King Jr. Peace Award. The award recognizes an individual who has developed or implemented a program in a school or community that advances peace education, promotes cooperation, supports the peaceful resolution of conflict, and expands opportunities for students and educators.

Students from Staples High School, Bedford Middle School, and Coleytown Middle School earned top honors at the regional History Day competition for their projects on the theme Revolution, Reaction, Reform in History.

On Thursday, February 5, the Westport Public Library hosted the Mini Moguls Marketplace, a youth business fair founded and organized by local student Aanya Gandhi. Designed for students in grades 5-8, the event provided a hands-on platform for young entrepreneurs to launch their own businesses, selling handmade goods and curated items to the community.
