Special Education and Pupil Services

At Westport Public Schools, we are proud to offer a comprehensive range of services and supports to meet the needs of our students eligible for gifted and talented services and our students eligible for special education services. Our programs and supports are designed to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities from ages 3 through 22. Our goal is to ensure that every student is provided with a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE), in full compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and state regulations.

Whether through our Workshop Program, early intervention programs, individualized education plans (IEPs), related services, or transition support into adulthood, we are committed to fostering each student's academic, social, and emotional growth. Our highly skilled and compassionate staff—including our administrators, special educators, related service providers, and support professionals—collaborate with families, educators, and community partners to promote meaningful learning opportunities.

We invite you to explore the many ways our programs empower student growth, achievement and prepare for successful, fulfilling lives.
